It’s been a dream for me and the future of my company PanCakeBeaver.com to get a real studio. I have a lot of the equipment to stuff in there, but simply just need the space. At the moment I need to remove half my apartment if I want to set up for a studio session. So I’m determent to get a place where I can just go, and most of my stuff will just be there.

Back where I was living in Oslo, I was just a signature away, for getting my own studio in the smack middle of the city. But when my job did not renew my temp contract, I simply was not able to afford the place… So the dream kind a washed down the drain at that point.

To start with, I’m searching for a studio space, where maybe 3-5 other people also have access and use it for office as well, so we therefor can share all the expenses. To start with it might be a bit to expensive to upkeep a place of my own with the income I get. But i’m pretty sure and certain that I will be earning a lot more when I have a place to do stuff.

Some of my contacts told me about some of these shared office spaces, where you do your business from, that actually also have a studio space attached. This would maybe be real good. And being able to run my business with a lot of other creative people around me, maybe not be that bad an idea. I know the The Charlotte would love a place where she can just go, when she needs pictures of her costumes and creations.

Walking around my room, minding my own business, and suddenly SMACK! I whack my foot into the wheel of a trolley i have laying on the floor. Jumping up and down like a mad man, using my entire vocabulary of foul word in 5 different languages, and collapsing on my back! I hit the middle toe on my right food straight into the wheel.

After the pain started to leave me, and i got up and sitting again i took a look at the toe, but nothing really showed. No biggie, we all tried this i guess.

The morning after waking up and jumping out of the bed to take a shower i quickly had a flash bang of pain in my toe. Ohhhh nooo… I remember this pain. Back in 2007/2008 i broke my bog toe doing ninja. I I remember the pain, but also that there is really nothing to do with a busted up toe. So i soldier up, grab a shower. Fight my socks on, a pair of shoes (took a couple of tries) and stumbled to my car to go to work.

Dragging my leg behind me like a beat up pirate, pretty sure that my middle toe is broken, i endure the pain (and think it might have been stupid not to go to the ER getting a pair of crutches.) But survived the day. Yiipieee. At home i really longed for getting my shoes and socks of. And there it was looking at me. A big blue toe… It did not look like this in the morning? Weird for it to get that color so many hours after!

Well now it’s Saturday, and I can almost walk like a normal zombie again, so I guess that it’s luckily not broken after all.

Anyone wanna go out dancing?

Copenhell is over for this year, and what a blast it was. Saw great bands like Saxon, Meshuggah, korpiklaani, Immortal, lamb of God and last Marilyn Manson. After arriving at the festival and regenerating with a cold beer, I sat in the dried grass hill and stayed there for about 4 hours. (of cause it resulted in a sunburn on my arms and one side of the face only) first band was up, Saxon played, beer was cold, the heavy head from the morning was gone, and friends had arrived. All good. The day progressed and we enjoyed the very good weather. It was not until later the late evening that the weather turned to he worse. Lucky for me I got my sweater for warmth and my raincoat with me this time, so I put them on at the appropriate times.
This evening was also the night where the main attraction was going to play, so we got up to the main stage, so we could get good spot before before show start. So we was there about 30 minutes before Marilyn Manson got on.
Concert started and it was great. We rocked and rocked, even while the weather was pissing on us from up above. At one point Manson threw his water bottle in a high arc over his should an towards the audience. I could see the bottle coming straight for me and my friends, and my friend also caught it….. with his face.. SMACK..
All in all, this festival has been very good. Better than last year, and everybody has been looking out for each-other. So if any family festival Copenhell should be it.

During the weekend my apartment building Got two new washingmashines installed. The old system we had was made, so every apartment has a little yellow key stick, that you could fill up with cash through the janitor. And then every time you washed, it would deduct the fee from the key. This new system, we don’t need to fill up the key, but the exspenses will be drawn straight through the rent bill. I like this kind of system, for it means that i can Washington at any time without worry that there might not be money left on the little yellow key.
The downside to All of this is, that the price for a wash has rised quite high. It’s gone from 12 kr. To 20 Pr. Wash….
Makes me Think that i might get my own washer for the apartment and install that instead.

I’ve invested in the newest version of the Xbox, and there for selling of my older one. There is nothing wrong with the older one at all, but the new one do has some updates to it that feels a bit more appealing to me. It smaller, less loud and uses a bit less power. Plus having it online as i have, the harddisk size is bigger as well. The Xbox 360 I’m selling of is perfectly fine if it’s only to be used as an Arcade machine with no need for online gaming.

To celebrate the xbox i also wanted the entire Drumset rock band kit, and sense i already have one guitar i only needed a drumset, an extra guitar and the game “Rock Band”

I looked at guitars and they all costed about 850 kr for the guitar alone, for the only ones you could get where special editions and crap like that. But found out that for about 350 you could buy “Guitar Hero: Metalica” that included a guitar… Well no need to think about that one. So only the drums left.

Coolshop.dk where i do all my gaming purchases have the drum set for 149 kr. Not bad… not bad at all, but then i would need to get the game on the side somehow. This looks to be harder than first anticipated. Apparently that game is not to dig up anywhere….. But then i saw that coolshop had a kit, where you would get the game “Rock Band 3″ and the drumset for 450 kr. And according to the delivery status the kit sets would be delivered within the week. Woooo hooooo, Rock Band FTW…….

Over two weeks after…. and I’m still waiting for the drums and game to be delivered…. I got the Xbox, Metalica and extra guitar, but no drums to hit yet… So I’m using the guitar to play my Rock Band Blues….

I just brought home a printer that i bought. I did have a printer, but i left it for Maria in Norway, so i pretty much needed a new one any way. The printer i got is the new Canon MG6150 multi-function machine. So i can print, copy and scan at the tip of my finger. Literally, the entire interface is touch buttons and the printer itself is wireless, so i don’t need it to be out in the open, or having annoying cables across the room to my computer. Only need power and paper, and i can keep it away in the closet like the rest of my misfits. The printer has 6 separate ink cartridges, so i will only need to replace any who runs dry.

So do i need it? Maybe not, i don’t print that much, i have nothing to scan, but sometimes you just need to be able to. And now i am.

Okay… So I decided to give my Remington shaving machine a chance once again. I’m doing the Christmas Carol xmas show, and needed a certain set of hair and a certain amount of beard/sideburns….. This is last time I will make that mistake, trusting this fucked up machine to do the job it’s supposed to. Once again it did not work, and before I knew of it, I once again was bald…. This is not that good, for it will have grown out to the correct length before the show, so unless my character can be short haired, i will be needing a wig.. DOH.

Thanks Remington, for failing me once again. Next time I’ll be buying a product from you, it will be your shotgun for punching huge holes in your fucking shaving machine!

Ever stood before a choice where you just wished you had the option to get back to the point before making the choice, just in case it goes terrible wrong? Computers and games figured this out a long time ago. Like in Windows driver rollback and Mac’s Time machine software.

Not so long ago i noticed my cousin play a game called Mount and Blade: Warband though the Steam system, and after a brief talk i decided to give it a try while it was on sale. The game itself is post by itself (that i will probably not write), but what i want to mention is the save system.

While many games let you save anytime you want, for example:  You are getting ready to invade a hostile city, and decide to quicksave by hitting the F5 key (most of the times quicksave is located on F5) so if the hostile takeover goes wrong, you just load the game and you are right back before the invasion. And you are now clear to make another choice. Or in First Person Shooters where you quicksave just before going round the corner (or just hitting it because of nerves every 34 seconds).

Well Mount and Blade has this option as well, BUT it also gives you the option to start the game in “realistic” mode. this means no quicksave, no manual save, only saving when clicking exit on the game. This means of course that you can just save and exit every 35 second, but do you really wanna do that? Gets tedious in the long run. And you can’t click exit on the game without it saving your progress.. This forces you to think more, and make the right choices. If youou don’t the game will punish you and you will suffer by the consequences.

This brings me a little bit back to the start of the post. Where is my quicksave button? Why is the human being not installed with Time machine? I have so many thoughts and choices to make the next 3 months that i really really really wish for a quicksave. I would be so great to be able to revert life back to a specific point if the choices i make goes wrong….

Yesterday i watched the Semifinals on TV instead of being present myself in Telenor Arena. Simply because i did not have a free ticket Well, Gf was watching the Masterchef program on tv, so i had to watch the first 3 songs streamed from the NRK website, the rest i could watch on the TV. I did kind a bet on Denmark not making it through to the final, but was proven wrong. Sweden however did not make it through the semifinals! This is a big blow for Sweden for this is the first time ever that they have not participated in the finals. Well….. their song was really not that good, i thought it was a bit boring and the female singer had a pushed vibrator voice, that was a little bit wanne’be to country western singing. I am surprised that the danish entry got chosen for it sounds remarkable much as the Police/Sting number “missing you”

Well the Eurovision 2010 semifinals 2 did as the 1 first one did, also come with a lot of cheese and chocolate covers. Like Holland/Netherlands that has a Hollandic Polka with two “figurines” standing there and moving in the background. And the wind-machine was also used all the way through the rest of the acts as well. Well just a nice and cheesy semi final as expected.

Right now I’m trying to figure out what songs are gonna get the top 3 at the Finals and the list looks like this for now.

1. Belgium – With the John Mayer guy Tom Dice, They have a very international sing’n'song hit right there, that i believe we will hear a lot more of, even though if it does not win.

2. Germany – Germany is one of the countries that are automatically in the finals (due to the cash they per to the Eurovision events) And the Lilly Allan wanna’be has a catchy tune that appeals to a lot of people. Just don’t watch the Music video for you might find it annoying very very fast.

3. Turkey – Manga (i think it’s Manga) is the name of the group that is the entry from Turkey. They are well known in their land and the entry is also a quite alright rock-song with live instruments. We can’t get another “Lordi” act thats surprises with a rock song, but then again, they are not trying to, so they might have a real possibility, so that’s is why they might get to the top 3.

This is my bet for Eurovision 2010, so lets just see this Saturday how right or wrong i am. I might but some money on this bet as well.
