Once upon a time, back some where in the 1990′s. I by a freak accident smashed my head into a wooden pole… DIIING…. I broke my nose, and not just broke it, but the bone in the middle flip. Of cause i got it fixed in the hospital. And all was well. Now, about a year ago i started to notice that i had trouble breathing through one of my nostrils. I thought it might have been a cold, and it was just blocked. But as time went by, i started to get worried for my nose did not clear up yet. I can breath but only fully through one of my nostrils. This also results in a little whistle concert while i sleep.

I finally around two months ago, got an appointment with the nose doctor. I could see that my nose might have gone a bit askew again. Here therefor booked me in for a time at the hospital. I went there this Wednesday, and stayed there being looked up the nose from different doctors and surgeons. They all agreed that the nose was skewed to the side… Well thank your for confirming what i already know…. Apparently they could not take a decision on what to do with the nose. Apparently they are not allowed to do anything with the nose, only a Chief Surgeon would be able to do that. An “ordinary” Doctor was not allowed when my nose has been fixed before… back in the 1990′s……

So it all resulted in another booking with the chief surgeon, who will decide what to do, when he got them time in the schedule. So now I’m back in 1½ month waiting period before I cane told,what they can do to fix it.

Is this really that necessary to get fixes? YES it is. I have trouble falling a sleep and i only breath through the nose. I can her my voice being more “nasal” than normal. And in my professional life, i depend on my breathing and voice, when standing on stage. So i can’t wait for them to tell me some good news about fixing it. Hopefully they don’t chop off my pretty pretty (big) nose..

Hey and welcome back, hope you all had an enjoyable summer. I know i did have great two weeks off.

During my vacation i got to do a shoot for the company called Orbiloc. They deal in reflexes and lights for animals in particular. Small strong lights to hang on your pets collar, so people in traffic are able to see them in the dark. I have for this shoot hired my colleague Kæ9 to come along, for it’s always good to have a TLS (talking light stand) on a shoot.

Orbiloc have got funding to make a, whats called an OBS commercial. They hired a company called Fridthjof Film to make the commercial itself. My job was a bit different. I had to take stills of the scenes, and situations to be used on the website for Orbiloc.

We headed out at 17.30 and drove in my car to Roskilde. After finding the place, and saying hello to the film crew, we unpacked a lot of the gear that we brought. Two lights on stands, triggers, camera and lenses. We talked about what pictures we know we wanted to bring in, and what our options where to make them here. We had just one small problem, about the pictures that we wanted to do. The people and animals, was constantly busy with the film shoot. Not that we could not use them, but they could not move out of their places. So we had to shoot the pictures in the setting and lights that the film crew had set up. This if cause gives some problems, as well as benefits. The benefits are of cause, that everything is set up, and people are where they are supposed to be. But the disadvantage are, that the light the film makers uses are far to low for me to get a decent ISO. This of cause brings in more grain in the shot.

We decided to make some pictures of our own, and hijack the people and animals, even if there was just a 5 minutes break. (keep in mind, this is not actors. They where the real Police, Rescuers and so on, who has volunteered to participate in this OBS commercial) So we set ups two lamps and a police car up the road, where we could make some pictures of our own. These turned out great, and we had full control. I will show some pictures the minute i can. Well all along it was a great night. We finished 02.00 – 02.30 in the morning and drove back home.

It was nice to have a ordered job once again.

Sooo many games, soooooo little time.

With Battlefield 3, Gears of War 3 and Skyrim already out, it’s hard to find time to enjoy them as it is. Trying to Balance Work, Professional theater, PanCakeBeaver.com, social life and Girlfriend beside the gaming, is hard enough as it is. Now we have two greats games on the way, one with US release the 20th of December namely; Star Wars: The Old Republic. Second one is of cause Diablo 3. Both great game (hopefully, did try Swtor Beta). These titles are both valid reasons for calling in sick one week at the time (of cause I’M not gonna do that)

With new games there is cool opening scenes to sell it. Where both Diablo 3 and Swtor has realeased them,posted here of cause. But to get back to the time issue. I find it harder and harder to find time for everything. Work takes up minimum 8 hours everyday, and the rest takes on my spare time when not sleeping! So you can see that it’s a lot of “hobbies” for the remainder of the time on a day.

Back in 2001 i went to school at a place called “Herning Højskole” A place where you could get a taste of different professions, hobbies and other creative choices. The school was specialized in Acting, theater directing, music, design and Journalism. A normal term of the school like this is a half year (or just about 4-5 months) where you would study what ever main road you choose, and two till tree different side classes. I picked the Acting line, with music, photography and outdoor life as my extras. The half year of the spring of 2001, is one of my happiest and best times of my life. Being 19 years old, everything was new, and a good breather for the 19 years before me. I’ve met a lot of cool people, whom some i still keep in touch with, and others not at all. Many i know how are doing thanks to social networks like facebook.

Meeting at a party (twice within the last 4 months) one of my friends from the school who attended the same line and was in my class, made me realize how much i also missed the school and the time i had there. Funny how some periods can brand your brain like that. Even have music i can’t hear without thinking of the people and the that specific time. K’s Choice, Baal and Inside the Whale, are some of the artists i can listen to, without reverting back to Herning Højskole in my emotions and my head.

The school itself was a great place to live. A huge building with 15 floors, where all the students where living. Paired up with two floors at the time (The elevator only stopped at every 2 floor) I lived on floor 3-4, together with the best bunch of people you could imagine. If we only had a supermarket or a kiosk at the ground floor, we would have no reason to leave the school premises. The teaching room, theater, workshops, living quarters, kitchen and more was all connected, so you only had to go outside if you needed to stock up on candy and beer or to take a sauna 20 meters away in a side building. (PS. Beer in sauna are great, no matter how hot it is, the beer will alway be colder than you, smooking in the sauna on the other hand, is a very very bad idea…)

Sadly the school is closed down now.. It was founded in 1967 and closed in 2007. The buildings has been sold and are now being used as dormitories. Don’t know if i will ever catch the feeling i get when thinking about Herning Højskole ever again. And very sad that others might miss the chance of going there. I will never forget the spring of 2001, and hopefully never forget the people that made Herning High such a very special place.

It’s September, and it’s been a long time sense I’ve written anything. It’s time to start up again and starting out with a short update of what has happened the last couple of months.

During the summer i came to the decision to move back to The Motherland. I have had no job after i stopped at Elkjøp in February, and it just got to me. The reasons for moving back has been stacking up during the last year, and i decided that this was the best thing for me to do. My Norwegian way of life lasted for one year. Many might say that one year is not enough time to start up from fresh in a new place, and i agree with them. One of my former colleagues from Finland had to use 4 years to get attuned to her new life in Norway. As said the reason are there, where the main one is my theatrical work i do in Copenhagen. Not gonna get in details at this point.

My life in Norway has been a huge roller-coaster of emotions, thoughts, events and life changing things. I have met a lot of new people and lost some of them again. I’ve made new friends that  i ain’t gonna let go so easily. And i have had a wonderful life with Gf and her family. Gf has been my brightest point in Norway, when things seemed pointless and hopeless. You could say that with the events that took place like loosing our loved friend Christina Rødstøl to the terrible accident in October 2009, not getting my contract on the job renewed, being unemployed, figuring out more meaning than 42, getting King as the newest family member, loosing Punky and everything else, might just have brought us closer together. All in all, it really sucks, that at this moment, she has not been able to come back with me to Denmark. All good things are worth waiting and working for. (more to come on this subject, just not right now) So status is now; me back in the apartment from where we moved in August last year.

After the decision was made to pull the anchor and return home, i applied for a job, went to the interview the week after. 4 hours after the interview i had the job. So what went wrong in Norway?, where i tried so very hard for 7 months? (yet another blog post to come) I got hired for working in Kamerahuset.dk Selling and helping people with their questions and purchases of digital cameras. Not my only function here, and i’m rapidly growing in the field of responsibilities. I was hired for start August 2, and have now been there for 1½ months. Once again I’ve met new people and have some awesome colleagues. Looking forward for the next long period of time, as i can hear my knowledge and mood grow for the better…. Just wish Gf was here to share the joy with me. (not that she is that far away, long live Skype!)

The same week i arrived at Copenhagen i also got hijacked for two plays with my lovely theater group The CTC. We are doing a play called “The House of Yes” and straight after that, we are doing the Christmas play/musical “A Christmas Carol” looking very much forward to do these two play, for i have had no acting involved in my life for the entire time in Norway.

When i arrived in Copenhagen i pretty much just had my suitcase with cloth and my laptop. And finally just last weekend i visited Gf and Gf-dad who was having his birthsday, in a van to pick up the rest of our stuff and my electronic equipment. I have been living on the couch of my loving family for the first month and just got my own place back this September. It’s all good.

Well this was as said just a quick update that i have started to write again, just as i used to. A lot of exiting things has been popping up that i wanted to write about; Food, games, gadgets and of cause photography, so hopefully i will be writing on a daily basis again.

Congratulations to The Interbeing for winning the UMA for; Best metal act. The award show was suposed to take place in Pumpehuset Copenhagen, but the venue went bankrupt just a week before. But instead of just canceling the show, they instead made a more private ceremony for the nominees and judges at the venue Rust.

My brothers band The Interbeing (click on name for website) won the award for Best metal act, something i believe is fully deserved. I have had the chance to take some concert pictures of their live performance a couple of times and you can see them here, or just click into them from the menu.

Well congratulations once again, hopefully the award will come with some publicity as well, and bring you guys forward in the world. (and remember that PanCakeBeaver.com always want you as a client)

The weekend is over. Well almost over for everyone has Monday off as well, because of some religious thingy called “Pinse” (Pinse is the 50′th day after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and everyone received the holy ghost/spirit) In this weekend i have not really been doing much. I’ve been watching the Avatar movie, Playing Red Dead Redemption, but also been witness to Gf, putting a leash on the guinea pigs and taking them outside for a good grassy lunch. (video of the 4 guinea pigs attached) Hope you all had a nice weekend, for the sun is retreating a little bit, but i believe that it will be back soon with a vengeance.

The 17th of May in Norway is a national holly day and celebration. The Norwegians are celebrating the writing of the Norwegian constitution and their Independence from Denmark in 1814. Almost everyone has a way to show their patriotism for the country by having a flag or something to show of the Norwegian colors. The most common way they show are by wearing the official dress (also called Bunad). The Dresses that Norwegians wear are a bit like the Scottish kilts. But where the Scottish colors and decorations show what family they are from, the Norwegians dresses show more, from what region of the country they are from. The Gf’s dress is a blue dress with golden/Bronze pattens and jewelry. It represents the region around the area called Akershus and Lillestrøm.

All over the country the Norwegians celebrate the day, and walking around in Oslo might make you think that the entire country has gone to the Capital for the celebration. Soooo many people are waking around the streets, and you get pretty tired of either standing or walking in slow motion trying to get through the masses. I like the 17th of May, but it’s more my thing to find a spot or a café where you are able to sit down and just look at all the pretty people.

Gf and I has returned to our apartment where we are getting ready to celebrate with some friends. If the weather holds up, we might make some BBQ out in the garden of the apartment building and if not, we will just cook the food indoors and enjoy the rest of the evening as you should on the 17th of Maj.

Hope you all have a nice celebration day, i will now sit down and scheme on how we can get Norway (and their oil millions) back to Danish territory.

In different games you have different ways of playing beside the normal single-player campaign or whatever the game has to offer. In mmorpg games (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games) you have the different servers to play on. All depending if its PvP or PvE you are looking for.

PvP stands for Player vs Player, so the game is pretty much based on competing against other online players. PvE stands for People vs Environment, so here you are ussually teamed together with others to take down some Bitch King or dragon or whatever. When playing mmorpg games PvE are usually the servers i go for (or the RP “Role Playing” servers) Because i find it a lot more fun working together with others accomplishing a goal together. Yes you can still play together on a PvP server but the essence on those servers are still PvP.

I always look for games with an excellent Co-Operation (Co-Op) function. I don’t need an entire team to have fun playing together. Games like Gears of War 1 and 2 pretty much grinds my gears in a good way. I thinks it’s fun to battle the hordes of hell with just a single sidekick. This must be the reason why i also like the Halo games? Sense i played Halo the first time with one of my buddies. Two people in front of a little tv playing on the same xbox with a split screen trying to finish the halo games on the highest possible difficulty.

Many games offers different varieties of Co-Op. Games like Modern Warefare, Bad Company 2 and such. You have your team where you have to work together to accomplish a goal or just killing the other team. Game types like Capture the Flag, King of the Hill. I like game types where you have to accomplish a goal compared to games where you just have to shoot the other team to shit. I like team vs team games, and maybe because of the team effort! I’m one of those players who tries to follow my squad leader, give orders to the others, really try becoming a team. I have no doubt that this is also a success criteria in these kind of games.

I pre-ordered as said before the Red Dead Redemption for PS3, so i hope that the multiplayer part of it will be well worth it. For there is a looooooong time to Gears of War 3 and we have no clue on Diablo 3 yet.
