Personal rant of Tai Segel
Smartphones and not just iPhone are now able to browse though my website with a simple interface. You can even go look in the image galleries. This means the phones does not have to load all the fancy design and such. But if you prefer to go through the site in the traditional way, you can disable the feature yourself, by going to the bottom and flipping the “mobile theme” switch off.
OHHHH SNAP!
I’ve used this morning to upgrade my homepage and web galleries so the pictures are easier to both organize but also for you to find what you are looking for (or just when browsing) Normally i would make a slideshow in Lightroom and upload that gallery, and then updating the HTML pages myself with the Thumbnail picture and text. But installing NGgallery for WordPress made this entire process obsolete. Now i can manage, add, remove rearrange and upload just with a few clicks of the mouse, Brilliant.
In the past i always wrote what venue the different bands played at with the text link, but i have decided to cut it out, for id does not matter that much. But i have kept the dates. I do believe that dates are important. They are impotent because a band might evolve (or dissolve) or change out band members. So having a look at my pictures you can see how the band was looking in 2007.
I have also decided to keep the 3 categories that i have being; Photoshoots, Theater and Live concerts. But i have no worries here for the new gallery makes it so easy to change if needed. Well go have a look up in the Photography section of the menu.
This evening i’m going to a concert at a place here in Oslo called Blaa. Sleep Party People are the pre-warm up band for The Antlers who is currently playing a European tour before they travel to Texas continuing their journey there. As a part of Danish hospitality i have let the 6 bunnies rabbits from Sleep Party people crash at my place, and in return i scored some free tickets for the concert tonight. Woooo hooo. Might take some photo’s as well, cause it’s been a long time sense i did that at a concert. Sleep Party People
There has not been a lot of blogging the last many couple of days, and the reason for this has many faces. I have decided thou, that i have to do something about it and what is a better start than news from Brothers band Mindscape. Mindscape….. something i think i could use a lot of these days, but hey, that’s why we invented beer….. right?
Well Mindscape has just released their brand new demo song To Polite, and you can listen to it straight from this post, or you can go say hi to them on their official MySpace website! Also listen to some some of their older songs. I have only upped about 5 of their songs in total here on the post. Also if you use my search function on the top right of the homepage here, and search for “Mindscape” you can find some life shows pictures from them as well. Happy hearing.

Figuring out what categories i should have, and what type of posts i should post under Them. So far i have wazzup, photography, posters and a new one called food plus a fifth one “fashion” coming soon.
The wazzup cat. Had so far been used for All the really everyday nonsense i write about some times, my estimate at the moment is that 95% gets posted there. One of the reasons to add a bit more to get some spread in subject. You Can of cause always look up posts by “tags” instead. Tags is me individual post by post “tagging” sub subject. Like; Gf, Ærø, HomePage and design.
Photography is the place i place post that gave photographic value. This does not mean that just because there is a photo or if i write about some equipment that i Will post Them there. By value i mean that it has to be about a ongoing photo session that Will result in pretty pictures worth publishing. So i won’t ad a post there just because i have a iPhone picture.
The food cat. Is the place where i write about…. Well…. Food! “See what i have made” or “this is what i Will consume today.”
The posters category is not only posters, it Will also feature other sorts of “graphical” work. But for the moment i Think it’s just posters. Gonna Update that one with a lot more that i’ve made, also from the beaver project.
So there you go, thats what you can expect from the categories.

Just reminding that the Old photography section is still online even after the change from dk to com. In the top bar you just have to Press photography, and the page with selection Will pop up. Come on! Give it a little push

I finished the new design for the site. I first found the initial design from some free designs, then i had to tweak functionality to work like i wanted. Finally i need to personalize it a little bit, and for start this is just a banner in the top with my ugly mug on it. There is still some stuff to do like colours, font and maybe tweaking the box sizes all over. Well i’m happy with the result, so lets try with this for a while. Time to work with something else for now, maybe give the beaver a run thru Photoshop.
I have started the work on fixing the website to look (what i think look) better. So the “theme” of the site might change to and from, and functions might go buy buy, or just screw up badly. But, i’ll make this think look good (in due time) I have found some visuals that i want to use and i’m starting to implement them with my database, so i can see if they work for my needs or not. Hopefully everything goes smoothly (now where is it i backup the data)
