Walking around my room, minding my own business, and suddenly SMACK! I whack my foot into the wheel of a trolley i have laying on the floor. Jumping up and down like a mad man, using my entire vocabulary of foul word in 5 different languages, and collapsing on my back! I hit the middle toe on my right food straight into the wheel.

After the pain started to leave me, and i got up and sitting again i took a look at the toe, but nothing really showed. No biggie, we all tried this i guess.

The morning after waking up and jumping out of the bed to take a shower i quickly had a flash bang of pain in my toe. Ohhhh nooo… I remember this pain. Back in 2007/2008 i broke my bog toe doing ninja. I I remember the pain, but also that there is really nothing to do with a busted up toe. So i soldier up, grab a shower. Fight my socks on, a pair of shoes (took a couple of tries) and stumbled to my car to go to work.

Dragging my leg behind me like a beat up pirate, pretty sure that my middle toe is broken, i endure the pain (and think it might have been stupid not to go to the ER getting a pair of crutches.) But survived the day. Yiipieee. At home i really longed for getting my shoes and socks of. And there it was looking at me. A big blue toe… It did not look like this in the morning? Weird for it to get that color so many hours after!

Well now it’s Saturday, and I can almost walk like a normal zombie again, so I guess that it’s luckily not broken after all.

Anyone wanna go out dancing?

Totally forgot to mention the nice little dinner surprise that The Charlotte made the other day.She cooked food this day, but before serving the main dish, she served me a plate of Appetizers. Everything wrapped in Bacon! Oven baked potato wedges wrapped in bacon, Broccoli in bacon and more. There was even Bacon wrapped in Bacon! See the picture below!

The grocery store that i do my usually shopping in, has been undergoing a little makeover and been closed for about 3 weeks. March the 1′st it opened up again for the public with a series of good offers, One of these offers was a a huge filet for about 35 kr. pr. pound. I of cause I bought 4 pounds of filet. The idea was to cut it up in three pieces, so i then will have meat enough to last 3 big dinners. The roast had a “last sales date” 23 of March. So i bought it and put it straight in the refrigerator.

Last week, The Charlotte and I decided to cut it up, and eat two nice fat, big juice steaks. BUT, when we opened the pack we could with ease smell that something was wrong. But we discarded the thought, and said that it might be because of the packing, and we did not think that much of it. We started to make all the little side-dishes. And fried the steaks at the very end.

Okay, so the table is set, and the food is cooked. We sit down. Slice the bite, stuff it in the face, and quickly and swiftly with a quick glance at each other, spit it out just as fast! the the beef tasted like i imagine rotting flesh would taste like. Yuk! Out the trash with the piece of crap. Lucky for us, the shop closes at 22.00 so i quickly ran down with the remaining meat to change it for something a bit more fresh. Still gagging on the taste of the bite before. The worker down at the shop, did not smell my bag of crap meat, but he did look at the meat he had in the fridge, and say “I think your right, the color does not look right to me either” So i had to get some other kind of meat, and I had to settle with that. I did had The Charlotte waiting and the other food waiting for me.

We fried the new meat, and enjoyed out meal… but i did have that taste in my mouth the entire evening… in fact, I had that taste the entire next two days as well.. Lucky for me it’s gone now, but yuk…….

The day after in the evening, i went down in the shop again… the meat that “looked wrong” was still there in the refrigerators……. Once again, i mentioned it to the people down there….

I always enjoy the New Years Eve party. I never go out to town, i always stay at the party, where ever i am. Why spoil an evening with friends by going out after midnight? Crowded places, people being to drunk, Things that goes bang! I’m going to a nice private party with two good friends that invited me. The Charlotte, is not coming with me this evening, she has her own plans. People might call me stupid for not joining a party with 10 Stripfittness girls, but prioritizing some friends instead Have a nice and safe evening, and see you in 2012

It’s Wednesday and I’m having a brief moment to collect my thoughts and prepare mentally for the next many days I have ahead of me. Tonight we have the premiere of The House of Yes.  I need to prepare a lot for this performance, for i have a lot in my mind at the moment. Lucky i have the day of from work today, so I’ve been able to sleep a bit longer and just relax at home.

First i need to prepare for the shows that’s coming up. I will be going straight from work and straight to the theater for the show. So i will have no time in between to do shopping, cooking or just relaxing. I I’ve spend this day to by small things like, fruit, pasta and rice etc, so i have something to eat when i get home late in the evenings. It can be hard to go without food after a day from 08:30 till 22-23:00 in the evening. Long days, but worth it all.

As a part of my “warm up” just before the show, one of the methods I use is music therapy. To but it short, even if i had had a shitty day, feeling sad, a lot of my mind etc. I put on my headphones and I literally blast the crap away. I run the music on full power and totally disregarding that it might actually hurt my hearing. I do this for at least 5 minutes or sometimes if I need to do a physical warm up, then I’ll let it run for about 15 to 20 minutes. The music is often very hard and powerful music with a lot of energy (i sometimes uses my brothers music from the metal band The Interbeing) The music allows me to relax and clear my head, forget about everything and everyone. Forget about the thoughts running in my head, the people i miss, the people i hate and even let’s me forget about myself. It’s just me and the music. I don’t listen to the lyrics but more the power of the music. I’m recharging my batteries so to speak. Used this method sense 2005 and it works for me.

Well i guess this I why i also write this blog, so I don’t need a shrink… I have a lot of things I need to get blasted out of my head, if I’m needed to be someone else on stage. Gf and I ended the relationship two weeks ago, and I’ve been shattered into pieces. I’m trying to piece back together my mind, and am yet to be successful. I can’t deny that I don’t miss her and think about her, but I’m also aware that it might be for the best for both of us. She started at the School in Oslo, and got to like it so much, that the choice of moving back to Denmark and live here fell apart… I understand that she don’t wanna change school. I understand that it’s to hard that I’m not around when needed. I understand that she might not even want to come to DK when school is finished. I understand that it is for the the best, when we’re so far apart, and the future is a mist. But I’m yet to understand that’s it over after almost 4 years with two years living together. Can’t say i don’t miss her or the two guinea pigs.  It ain’t easy, but i suppose it’s not supposed to be.

It’s September, and it’s been a long time sense I’ve written anything. It’s time to start up again and starting out with a short update of what has happened the last couple of months.

During the summer i came to the decision to move back to The Motherland. I have had no job after i stopped at Elkjøp in February, and it just got to me. The reasons for moving back has been stacking up during the last year, and i decided that this was the best thing for me to do. My Norwegian way of life lasted for one year. Many might say that one year is not enough time to start up from fresh in a new place, and i agree with them. One of my former colleagues from Finland had to use 4 years to get attuned to her new life in Norway. As said the reason are there, where the main one is my theatrical work i do in Copenhagen. Not gonna get in details at this point.

My life in Norway has been a huge roller-coaster of emotions, thoughts, events and life changing things. I have met a lot of new people and lost some of them again. I’ve made new friends that  i ain’t gonna let go so easily. And i have had a wonderful life with Gf and her family. Gf has been my brightest point in Norway, when things seemed pointless and hopeless. You could say that with the events that took place like loosing our loved friend Christina Rødstøl to the terrible accident in October 2009, not getting my contract on the job renewed, being unemployed, figuring out more meaning than 42, getting King as the newest family member, loosing Punky and everything else, might just have brought us closer together. All in all, it really sucks, that at this moment, she has not been able to come back with me to Denmark. All good things are worth waiting and working for. (more to come on this subject, just not right now) So status is now; me back in the apartment from where we moved in August last year.

After the decision was made to pull the anchor and return home, i applied for a job, went to the interview the week after. 4 hours after the interview i had the job. So what went wrong in Norway?, where i tried so very hard for 7 months? (yet another blog post to come) I got hired for working in Kamerahuset.dk Selling and helping people with their questions and purchases of digital cameras. Not my only function here, and i’m rapidly growing in the field of responsibilities. I was hired for start August 2, and have now been there for 1½ months. Once again I’ve met new people and have some awesome colleagues. Looking forward for the next long period of time, as i can hear my knowledge and mood grow for the better…. Just wish Gf was here to share the joy with me. (not that she is that far away, long live Skype!)

The same week i arrived at Copenhagen i also got hijacked for two plays with my lovely theater group The CTC. We are doing a play called “The House of Yes” and straight after that, we are doing the Christmas play/musical “A Christmas Carol” looking very much forward to do these two play, for i have had no acting involved in my life for the entire time in Norway.

When i arrived in Copenhagen i pretty much just had my suitcase with cloth and my laptop. And finally just last weekend i visited Gf and Gf-dad who was having his birthsday, in a van to pick up the rest of our stuff and my electronic equipment. I have been living on the couch of my loving family for the first month and just got my own place back this September. It’s all good.

Well this was as said just a quick update that i have started to write again, just as i used to. A lot of exiting things has been popping up that i wanted to write about; Food, games, gadgets and of cause photography, so hopefully i will be writing on a daily basis again.

The 17th of May in Norway is a national holly day and celebration. The Norwegians are celebrating the writing of the Norwegian constitution and their Independence from Denmark in 1814. Almost everyone has a way to show their patriotism for the country by having a flag or something to show of the Norwegian colors. The most common way they show are by wearing the official dress (also called Bunad). The Dresses that Norwegians wear are a bit like the Scottish kilts. But where the Scottish colors and decorations show what family they are from, the Norwegians dresses show more, from what region of the country they are from. The Gf’s dress is a blue dress with golden/Bronze pattens and jewelry. It represents the region around the area called Akershus and Lillestrøm.

All over the country the Norwegians celebrate the day, and walking around in Oslo might make you think that the entire country has gone to the Capital for the celebration. Soooo many people are waking around the streets, and you get pretty tired of either standing or walking in slow motion trying to get through the masses. I like the 17th of May, but it’s more my thing to find a spot or a café where you are able to sit down and just look at all the pretty people.

Gf and I has returned to our apartment where we are getting ready to celebrate with some friends. If the weather holds up, we might make some BBQ out in the garden of the apartment building and if not, we will just cook the food indoors and enjoy the rest of the evening as you should on the 17th of Maj.

Hope you all have a nice celebration day, i will now sit down and scheme on how we can get Norway (and their oil millions) back to Danish territory.

I always keep stuff around in my kitchen so i’m able to make some sort of hot meal, when really in no mood to cook for a very long time or if i have nothing good or interesting in the fridge. Some of the stuff i always try to have around are, Pasta, Rice, Tuna, Eggs, Bullion, spices, and some sort of “quick meals” canned food or instead microwave stuff. Not very healthy for you i know, but sometimes you just need something down in the stomach and you don’t care what. This is where some of the small hidden wonders comes in.

Sometimes you can buy stuff that really takes you back to certain memories or maybe they just taste good. You don’t want to eat it every day, but sometimes you just feel the craving for it. My little wonder of today is “Hakkebøf på dåse” Or Beef Dan’oir. i normally eat this with mashed potatoes (also instant mash) but today i had to use rice. This can i so good with mashed potatoes and don’t skip on the salt and pepper on top. I know it looks like dog food straight out of the can (and also in the pot, and before you eat it) but the taste is just something i suddenly feel and urge for. I have a couple of canned foods i really like. Might be because of all the camping we did in the summers of my entire childhood. Well, enjoy the pictures of a little can of heaven…..

Well it might not be THAT much of heaven but still…

Last weekend we went to the Gf’s family cabin in the woods. She has a school assignment where she have to shoot make nude photography. So we had a couple of friends with us for the trip. (on one was the model and no.. the pictures will not be posted)

Well we started the trip for the cabin around 17 pm. Had to go to the friends where we had some wheels that could take us the rest of the way. After a short trip into the city of Lillestrøm to pick up the last friend we headed for the cabin. All in all the drive driving straight from Oslo to the cabin can be done in around 30 minuttes. Our trip took a little longer (3 hours in total) Driving up the little roads to the cabin was no problem, but arriving to the end of the normal road to the the little trail where you drive of and up the rest of the way, we quickly found out that the trails to the area had not been cleared of snow. After a little drive back to lillestrøm to pick up the last person at the train station we drove back to the trail. After finding a spot for the car we started to cross through the snow to get to the cabin. And there was a lot of snow. At some times around half a meter of snow.

Finally we arrived at the cabin. Whoooo hoooo. Of cause snow would not be our only problem here. We started to cook dinner and found out that something must be wrong with the water pump. Daaang…… Well lucky for us we did had a lot of snow, so we filled up some pots and started to melt away. Dinner was a success. During supper time (keep in mind that time is around 23.00 now) the entire cabin filled with smoke. The hut has a little fireplace with a chimney and of cause with minus -18 Celsius we had made a little fire. The smoke from the fire did not exhale outside as it should. And it started to fill the entire house with smoke. Up with the windows and the door to clear our the air. This did not help on the cold at all. Well lucky for us the cabin also contained a little closed stove so we quickly fired up here instead.

Getting a bit warm again (with help from some wine and whisky) the team that needed to photograph went outside to do their business at around 03.30 at night. Took about 20 minuttes. Done and good night!

Up the next day, started to boil snow for breakfast, and after some food, out in the snow again for some daylight shooting. Done and done, time to head home. During the night and morning it has snowed some more. So once again we had to drag ourself through the snow. All in all, we had a really nice cosy time in the hut. Might not go up there that many times in this kind of weather but it’s an awesome place to be when it’s spring/summer and autumn as well. And no matter what, beer always helps no matter the situation. Attached are some snow pictures from the trip.

This saturday Gf and i went on a shopping spree in Sweden. I Norway they call it “Harry tur” when you go to another country to buy food, booze and cloths. Well everything is a lot cheaper in Sweden so i got myself a pair of indoor shoes for training in a gym. So beside a bottle of whiskey Gf and i bought for around 900 Swedish currency of food items. We went for meat for the freezer sense there is a lot to be saved on stuff like that.

In one of the super markets we found a “American specialties” section. They had a lot of products that can be hard to find otherwise like Snapple, Vanilla Coke, Cherry Coke, Hellman Mayo, Orios, and tons of other things i newer saw before. Attached are some mobile pics from that particular shelf. And really not that expensive! never saw American stuff imported and sold at normal prices.
