Once upon a time, back some where in the 1990′s. I by a freak accident smashed my head into a wooden pole… DIIING…. I broke my nose, and not just broke it, but the bone in the middle flip. Of cause i got it fixed in the hospital. And all was well. Now, about a year ago i started to notice that i had trouble breathing through one of my nostrils. I thought it might have been a cold, and it was just blocked. But as time went by, i started to get worried for my nose did not clear up yet. I can breath but only fully through one of my nostrils. This also results in a little whistle concert while i sleep.

I finally around two months ago, got an appointment with the nose doctor. I could see that my nose might have gone a bit askew again. Here therefor booked me in for a time at the hospital. I went there this Wednesday, and stayed there being looked up the nose from different doctors and surgeons. They all agreed that the nose was skewed to the side… Well thank your for confirming what i already know…. Apparently they could not take a decision on what to do with the nose. Apparently they are not allowed to do anything with the nose, only a Chief Surgeon would be able to do that. An “ordinary” Doctor was not allowed when my nose has been fixed before… back in the 1990′s……

So it all resulted in another booking with the chief surgeon, who will decide what to do, when he got them time in the schedule. So now I’m back in 1½ month waiting period before I cane told,what they can do to fix it.

Is this really that necessary to get fixes? YES it is. I have trouble falling a sleep and i only breath through the nose. I can her my voice being more “nasal” than normal. And in my professional life, i depend on my breathing and voice, when standing on stage. So i can’t wait for them to tell me some good news about fixing it. Hopefully they don’t chop off my pretty pretty (big) nose..

Copenhell is over for this year, and what a blast it was. Saw great bands like Saxon, Meshuggah, korpiklaani, Immortal, lamb of God and last Marilyn Manson. After arriving at the festival and regenerating with a cold beer, I sat in the dried grass hill and stayed there for about 4 hours. (of cause it resulted in a sunburn on my arms and one side of the face only) first band was up, Saxon played, beer was cold, the heavy head from the morning was gone, and friends had arrived. All good. The day progressed and we enjoyed the very good weather. It was not until later the late evening that the weather turned to he worse. Lucky for me I got my sweater for warmth and my raincoat with me this time, so I put them on at the appropriate times.
This evening was also the night where the main attraction was going to play, so we got up to the main stage, so we could get good spot before before show start. So we was there about 30 minutes before Marilyn Manson got on.
Concert started and it was great. We rocked and rocked, even while the weather was pissing on us from up above. At one point Manson threw his water bottle in a high arc over his should an towards the audience. I could see the bottle coming straight for me and my friends, and my friend also caught it….. with his face.. SMACK..
All in all, this festival has been very good. Better than last year, and everybody has been looking out for each-other. So if any family festival Copenhell should be it.

Copenhell day one was Awesome! I arrived at the hell gates around 14.00 – 14.30 and came straight in. There was a welcoming  party made out of a handfull of zombies. They where to busy to eat my brain for some woman was trying to film them. Oh well, we are not here for the zombies anyway. Getting in there immediately saw that they have made some changes around compared to last year. The biggest change was prolly the stage where the different danish artists will be performing. Last year they where performing on a very small stage wedged in between two iron containers. And no room for people. Bad and sad. This year however, they changed the place for stage, and now they put it where the second big stage was last year. Stage two is now moved over to the other site of the main stage across the festival square. Much much much better. So now the danish band actually have a place worth there time to play on.

Great. I saw three bands this loving friday, with the sun up high and the beer cold. First band up was “Barricade” Not my kind of music, but the guys played there heart out. Tough job to be the band that opens up the entire festival.  At 18.00 my Brothers band “The Interbeing” went on stage, and there was a shit load of people there. They did a very good job and the crowd was pleased. Seen them enough times to see that it was not a halv bad show, and they poured the heart and soul into it. Of cause it’s heart to get prober sound when the wind blows and take the sound all around with it.

One of the bands i looked forward for and who played on the Main stage was the awesome “Killswitch Engage”. They did a very good job as well, and i was happy. Saturday brings a lot of other bands as well, here amongst Marilyn Manson as ending act. Friday we ended up with Slayer. I’ve ssen them before and i went homewards around midway. Only a few “Pendler” busses are in place to bring everybody home from the festival, so i wanted to be there a bit before everybody else.

Once again a very good day, with friends and beer (who are my friends except for the day after) with everything a good festival contains. Music, beer and overpissed toilets. Looking forward to last day.

Make the damn hole!:-D

Every cook has their own way to cook. This also include Eggs. How do you cook an egg? Of cause here, I’m mostly talking about a soft boiled breakfast egg.

When i cook the egg, i always no matter what size it is, give it a total of 5 minutes in hot boiling salted water. When the time is up, i but them over cold water so they don’t boil further. BUT the most important thing is to make that damn tiny little hole in the top! When i was living at home on my island Ærø, Mom has this little gadgets, where you you just press the egg down on top of it, and a little needle pops out and makes a little hole.

Why is the little hole so important you ask? Well, if you do not make the hole, the egg will rupture, water will come in and the whites will come out. Making an uneven boiled egg.

I have been looking all over Copenhagen for this little gadgets that can pinch a hole in my egg, but everywhere i went they either did not know what it was or it was sold out…. Sold out… Sould out? What the hell, how can such a thing be sold out? Og well, apparently the grand mother to The Charlotte heard about my search and she gave me one that she had extra in the cupboard. This is so great, not only is it 60/70 retro style, this thing is actually from that period! Woohooo. Of cause the week after my own mother bought me on as well, with out knowing that i already got one. This new one is made out of the classic “modern” white plastic. Absolutely does not got the same feeling as the old one. But now i can at least get my boiled eggs perfect every time!

Dear Christina.

One year has gone by sense you left this world at the terrible military accident on 13 October 2009. Today, the family and soldiers are gathering in Rena for a memorial service in your honour. Sadly I can not be there for you, or for your friends and family when the return to Oslo.

You see Christina…  A lot has happened in the last year, and the year has gone past so fast. Only thing that has not changed are the amount of thoughts and people thinking of you. Not many people has tried loosing someone that young for reasons unknown. Even though you and I was not the closest I still feel like I know exactly who you where. Might be the effect you had on Maria or just any other person that you ever encountered. One thing I can truly say, is that not one day goes past, where we are not reminded of you or thinking of you.

Many have felt your presence, and we are all aware that you are with us. My biggest regret this past year is that i have yet to visit you resting place. I have not yet been by you sense we said goodbye. I missed the chance before moving back to Denmark. But then again i also know that you are with me here in DK as well as with Maria in Oslo. So you are really not that far away.

But Christina. I just wanted to let you know we miss you all. Yes I know I did not know you the best, but by some reason I miss and think about you just the same.

Back in 2001 i went to school at a place called “Herning Højskole” A place where you could get a taste of different professions, hobbies and other creative choices. The school was specialized in Acting, theater directing, music, design and Journalism. A normal term of the school like this is a half year (or just about 4-5 months) where you would study what ever main road you choose, and two till tree different side classes. I picked the Acting line, with music, photography and outdoor life as my extras. The half year of the spring of 2001, is one of my happiest and best times of my life. Being 19 years old, everything was new, and a good breather for the 19 years before me. I’ve met a lot of cool people, whom some i still keep in touch with, and others not at all. Many i know how are doing thanks to social networks like facebook.

Meeting at a party (twice within the last 4 months) one of my friends from the school who attended the same line and was in my class, made me realize how much i also missed the school and the time i had there. Funny how some periods can brand your brain like that. Even have music i can’t hear without thinking of the people and the that specific time. K’s Choice, Baal and Inside the Whale, are some of the artists i can listen to, without reverting back to Herning Højskole in my emotions and my head.

The school itself was a great place to live. A huge building with 15 floors, where all the students where living. Paired up with two floors at the time (The elevator only stopped at every 2 floor) I lived on floor 3-4, together with the best bunch of people you could imagine. If we only had a supermarket or a kiosk at the ground floor, we would have no reason to leave the school premises. The teaching room, theater, workshops, living quarters, kitchen and more was all connected, so you only had to go outside if you needed to stock up on candy and beer or to take a sauna 20 meters away in a side building. (PS. Beer in sauna are great, no matter how hot it is, the beer will alway be colder than you, smooking in the sauna on the other hand, is a very very bad idea…)

Sadly the school is closed down now.. It was founded in 1967 and closed in 2007. The buildings has been sold and are now being used as dormitories. Don’t know if i will ever catch the feeling i get when thinking about Herning Højskole ever again. And very sad that others might miss the chance of going there. I will never forget the spring of 2001, and hopefully never forget the people that made Herning High such a very special place.

Last weekend we went to the Gf’s family cabin in the woods. She has a school assignment where she have to shoot make nude photography. So we had a couple of friends with us for the trip. (on one was the model and no.. the pictures will not be posted)

Well we started the trip for the cabin around 17 pm. Had to go to the friends where we had some wheels that could take us the rest of the way. After a short trip into the city of Lillestrøm to pick up the last friend we headed for the cabin. All in all the drive driving straight from Oslo to the cabin can be done in around 30 minuttes. Our trip took a little longer (3 hours in total) Driving up the little roads to the cabin was no problem, but arriving to the end of the normal road to the the little trail where you drive of and up the rest of the way, we quickly found out that the trails to the area had not been cleared of snow. After a little drive back to lillestrøm to pick up the last person at the train station we drove back to the trail. After finding a spot for the car we started to cross through the snow to get to the cabin. And there was a lot of snow. At some times around half a meter of snow.

Finally we arrived at the cabin. Whoooo hoooo. Of cause snow would not be our only problem here. We started to cook dinner and found out that something must be wrong with the water pump. Daaang…… Well lucky for us we did had a lot of snow, so we filled up some pots and started to melt away. Dinner was a success. During supper time (keep in mind that time is around 23.00 now) the entire cabin filled with smoke. The hut has a little fireplace with a chimney and of cause with minus -18 Celsius we had made a little fire. The smoke from the fire did not exhale outside as it should. And it started to fill the entire house with smoke. Up with the windows and the door to clear our the air. This did not help on the cold at all. Well lucky for us the cabin also contained a little closed stove so we quickly fired up here instead.

Getting a bit warm again (with help from some wine and whisky) the team that needed to photograph went outside to do their business at around 03.30 at night. Took about 20 minuttes. Done and good night!

Up the next day, started to boil snow for breakfast, and after some food, out in the snow again for some daylight shooting. Done and done, time to head home. During the night and morning it has snowed some more. So once again we had to drag ourself through the snow. All in all, we had a really nice cosy time in the hut. Might not go up there that many times in this kind of weather but it’s an awesome place to be when it’s spring/summer and autumn as well. And no matter what, beer always helps no matter the situation. Attached are some snow pictures from the trip.

Today we got told that we should not drink the tap water until sometime next thursday. This has been in effect sense yesterday. the reason is a technical malfunction with the rinsing machinery. The water supplier are rinsing and cleaning the water for bacteria so we don’t get sick. My tommy did feel funny going to bed last night and i did not sleep the first two hours. Also felt it in my stomach today. But i did drink a lot of water last night. I’m just so thirsty these days and i don’t know why. So not being able to drink the ice cold tap water because of bacteria sucks. Drinking the water might cause diarrhea. Well they say it will be fine around thursday, but i think i’m gonna wait till friday anyway! Don’t want to catch something fishy from the water. Not fun being sick.

Received a free Coca Cola from a co-worker today. Sadly it was really warm. What to do? Well you of cause remember that you have the worlds cheapest freezer outside the door.

Hopla! Just snap open a window and throw out the bottle! But don’t throw to far, you will still need to go outside to fetch it again! Here are some snapshots of the grant event, and my freezer. You are such a clever Tai boy.

Before leaving Denmark this Christmas i received a new jacket for the cold. New and new, i got my brothers jacket that we from the receipts in the pocket could see that last time he used it was in 2007. The jacket is nice and warm, and the only thing that has been freezing are my legs and everything that pokes out if the jacket.
Sense it has been fitting my older brother it’s a little to big, so i have to find the straps and strings to tie it in a little bit. Or use it as a winter tent….. Well it’s warm, and with the cold we all are having (-20), that weights a hell lot more than appearance at the moment. Come on everybody, do the penguin dance! Uhhh…. and mind your heads, it’s raining ice!
